Designed in London · Handmade in Lagos
Our Story

Marymia was born from a simple idea: that African craftsmanship deserves a global stage. Our founder grew up watching three generations of artisans transform raw Adire cloth, hand-woven Aso-Oke, and vibrant Ankara into garments that told stories.
Today, Marymia bridges London and Lagos. Every design starts in our London studio — sketched, refined, and perfected. Then it travels to our women-led atelier in Lagos, where master artisans cut, dye, and hand-finish each piece.
We don't do fast fashion. We make small-batch, soulful pieces built to be worn for decades. Each garment carries the fingerprints of the hands that made it — and the heritage of the culture that inspired it.
Heritage
Every technique we use — from Adire resist-dyeing to Aso-Oke weaving — has been passed down through generations. We honour this legacy while making it relevant for today.
Sustainability
We produce in small quantities to reduce waste. When a run sells out, it's gone. This isn't scarcity marketing — it's respect for the materials and the makers.
Community
Our Lagos atelier is run by women, for women. Every purchase supports fair wages, skills training, and a sustainable livelihood for our artisan community.
Hand-finished African attires, raffia accessories and scent — made to be worn for decades.
